Professional Moth Control
in Chelsea

     EXCELLENT

Moth infestations are a common issue in Chelsea’s elegant homes and boutique businesses, where natural fibres and soft furnishings are part of everyday life. These pests can quietly damage carpets, clothing, and upholstery before you even notice a problem.

We work throughout Chelsea, SW3, and SW10, delivering fast, discreet moth control for every kind of property – from modern flats near Sloane Square to family homes by Chelsea Embankment and King’s Road. Our professional treatments completely remove infestations and help safeguard your home for the future.

Understanding Moth Infestations

Textile moths such as the Common Clothes Moth (Tineola bisselliella) and Case bearing Clothes Moth (Tinea pellionella) feed on natural fibres like wool, silk, and cashmere. The larvae cause the real damage, consuming keratin found in these materials.

According to the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), moth infestations have risen sharply in recent years, particularly in centrally heated homes. A 2023 report found moth related call outs up by over 30% compared to pre pandemic levels.

Early detection and professional treatment are key to preventing extensive damage.

Spotting the Signs of a Moth Infestation

If you spot any of these signs, it’s best to act quickly before the infestation spreads.

Small holes or thinning patches in carpets or clothing

Silky webbing or small cases attached to fabrics

Fine, sand like droppings near damaged areas

Adult moths flying around dark corners or wardrobes

Very professional and knowledgeable team. We needed all carpets to go and severe moth issue to be dealt with. Proton moth control did a brilliant job, everything uplifted and disposed. Every inch was hoovered and treated with insecticide. A lot of fruss, eggs, larvae and life moths removed. The house left very clean and tidy. They even communicated with Mr Carpet, our new carpet installers, in regards of confirming if the carpet grippers needed removal. Highly recommend

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We discovered a serious moth infestation just hours after moving into our new home and reached out to Proton Moth Control. The level of service provided by Georgios, both before and after the treatment, was excellent. The process involved uplifting the carpets and applying pesticide treatments. Georgios was discreet, transparent, and remained available afterward to answer all of our questions. I am very satisfied and I highly recommend them if you’re dealing with any pest-related issues and need a quick, professional response.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Proton lifted and disposed of the moth infested carpets in our flat, vacuumed up all debris from the moths and then treated the whole flat to kill the moths. During the booking process, Proton were very helpful and all my calls were answered promptly. Asa visited the flat to quote, and provided expert and helpful advice. On the day of the work, Asa and his team turned up promptly, and carried out the work efficiently, leaving the flat very clean. I would highly recommend this company for moth control work - they are specialists in moth control unlike most pest control companies.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Asa was very helpful and informative. He initially came to the house for an inspection and consultation and took time and efforts to explain the process to me. On the day of the treatment his assistant and he were on time, super polite and efficiently dealt with our massive moth problem - Highly recommended and great value as well. S

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My elderly mum had a bad infestation of bed bugs. I contacted Proton and arranged to meet with Asa at my mums house the following day. He assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. I left him a key to the house and I took my mum on the long journey back to my house. He did the first treatment a couple of days later, followed by the second treatment two weeks later, and he kept me informed of progress by phone. My mum is now happily installed back in her own house.
Bed bugs are notoriously difficult to get rid of, so it's worth choosing a pest control company based upon reputation rather than price. I recommend Proton, and would definitely use them again (although hopefully will not be necessary).

Professional Moth Removal in Chelsea – Why It Matters

Getting rid of moths effectively means treating both the insects and their breeding areas. At Proton Moth Control, we start with a detailed inspection to identify affected zones, then apply targeted treatments such as residual insecticides, heat or steam treatments, and ULV fumigation.

We also carry out deep cleaning and vacuuming to remove larvae and eggs from carpets, wardrobes, and storage spaces. This combined approach eliminates all life stages of the moth and helps prevent re‑infestation.

DIY sprays and traps may provide temporary relief, but they rarely stop the breeding cycle. Professional treatment ensures complete eradication and long‑term protection for your fabrics and furnishings.
